ThetaBiomarkers' technologies are based on state-of-the-art hyphenated Mass Spectrometry. In 30 years of R&D we developed and validated dozens of HILIC-MS/(MS), RPLC-MS(/MS) and GC-MS(/MS) methods.

Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS) provides the preferred method for the efficient and sensitive quantitation of biomolecules and drugs and represents the workhorse in our lab.

Gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS) is the leading technology for (semi-)volatile analytes.

Further to these, special software is used, and validated in collaboration with software developers, and bespoke algorithms are developed for data mining. Through the analyses of thousands of real samples metabolite databases with concentration reference ranges have been established for aminoacids, organic acids, ceramides, fatty acid,s acyl carnitines and other biomarkers. Our findings have been presented in various conferences, meetings and have been published after peer reviewing.
